Case Study

Sweet Street:Leeds

A Challenging City Centre Project.

Working in busy city locations is always a challenge. But how do you get hundreds of tonnes of soil, turf and plants up ramps only meant for pedestrian access?

That was the challenge set out when we took on this project - and our operations managers delivered.

The answer was to blow hundreds of tonnes of topsoil through a tube from a purpose built blower fed by our grab wagon.

The result is two podium gardens (situated on the roofs of the on-site car parking) which form the courtyards to 4 premium apartment blocks in the centre of Leeds - featuring lightweight free-draining Green-Tree topsoil purpose mixed for the site, mounded shrub planters and large grass areas to the centre of each courtyard.
